Who is U.S. Physicians Purchasing Group?

U.S. Physicians Purchasing Group (USPPG) is a medical buying group serving private physicians and medical practices nationwide.

What service does USPPG provide?
USPPG negotiates preferred pricing on vaccine and other medical/surgical supplies by leveraging the purchasing power of our growing membership and offers this contract pricing to our members for FREE.

Why do I want my practice to be a member of a group purchasing organization? What is the benefit?

Your practice benefits tremendously because you will be receiving favorable pricing, payment terms and rebates that can only be obtained by such a membership. Because USPPG serves over 7,000 members, we continuously work with manufacturers and suppliers to obtain the best pricing on vaccines and other medical/surgical supplies and pass all the cost savings directly to every USPPG member.

How much will my practice save by using USPPG’s Vaccine Purchasing Program?
Your savings depends on the manufacturer and can vary according to products and services used throughout the year. But on average, our members save between 15 to 20%.

What exactly is USPPG’s Vaccine Purchasing Program? How does it work?
Because of USPPG’s large network of member practices, our vaccine purchasing program allows substantial savings even at small purchasing levels. First, you need to be an USPPG member. To enroll, click here. Upon membership approval, we will notify you on how to obtain contract pricing, promotional discounts and rebates from your specified supplier/s.

How do I become a member of USPPG?
Go to the registration page, fill out the required information and submit your application to us. It’s that easy!

Is there a membership fee?
There is no membership fee to become a USPPG member. It’s FREE to all qualified physician and medical practices.

Must I renew my contract every year?

No, your USPPG membership is automatically renewed.

Does my membership application need to be approved? If so, how long does it take before membership is granted?
Yes, your application needs to be approved. Upon receipt of your completed registration form, USPPG staff will verify that your office is a legitimate medical practice. After which, we send you a secure password via email so you can begin accessing contract pricing and rebate information on our website. The approval process takes only minutes.
 
My practice currently belongs to another purchasing group, how can I switch to USPPG?
We will be glad to assist you with this change. Contact us by calling our toll-free number (1-877-698-7774) or you send an email to customercare@usppg.org.

Can my practice belong to more than one vaccine purchasing group?
No, vaccine manufacturers require membership in only one group purchasing organization at a time. So it is important you choose the right one for your practice, like USPPG.

My practice is already a member of an IPA or a hospital network, can I still be a USPPG member?
You need to check with your IPA or hospital network first, because there could be restrictions. But there are USPPG members who already belong to an IPA or hospital network.

Do I place my orders direct through USPPG?
No, you continue to order through your manufacturers and suppliers. We strictly negotiate contract pricing on products and services. Once you are a USPPG member and depending on the supplier/s you use, you will be instructed on how to place orders.

If you are a USPPG member and purchase your vaccines through GlaxoSmithKline, you need to go to the GSK website and register for inclusion on the vaccine contract
. You will receive a notice from GSK confirming receipt your application. After they verify the DEA# associated with the practice you will receive a "Notice of Acceptance" from GSK. The entire GSK process takes approximately 2 - 3 days.  Click here to register with GSK.

Are there purchasing minimums?
There are no purchasing minimums when purchasing vaccines. But be aware that depending on the vaccine manufacturer there are purchasing minimums to receive rebates.

What are your approved methods of payment?
Payment method depends on distributor, supplier and manufacturer requirements. You will be notified about payment procedures after becoming a USPPG member.

What happens if I buy vaccines outside my contract?
You will not benefit from our negotiated discounted pricing on products and services. Nor will you receive any cost benefits from product promotions or rebates.

Does my practice receive manufacturer’s promotional discounts?
Yes, you will be notified by email of any manufacturer promotion. Therefore, it is vital we have a valid email address attached to your USPPG membership. If you need to provide, verify or change an email address, please notify us immediately.

How will I know if pricing or rebates change?
We communicate with all our members via email and by posting new information to our website. That is why is it important we have a valid email address on file for your practice.

Does USPPG offer anything else other than vaccines?
Yes, we offer discounted pricing on various medical/surgical supplies and services. We also offer personalized service by negotiating pricing on behalf of an individual member if they require something specific. But as we continue to expand our product/service offering, you will be notified by email of these changes or you can check our website.

My practice has moved locations, how do I change my contact/shipping information?
If you move or have other changes to your contact/shipping information, please let us know immediately by calling us or sending an email to customercare@usppg.org. We will update your contact information in our files and make all required notifications for you. Please be sure to provide us with both your new and old contact information.

How do I retrieve my password?
